Can You Make People Do What You Want?

by admin on May 31, 2009

Imagine the power of being able to make anybody do almost anything you want them to.

That’s a power that demands respect and that must be used for good… not evil. And if you are new to the Internet world, let me tell you that evil motives lurk everywhere.

What I’m pretty much getting at is copywriting… but beyond just writing. Video is so huge these days on the Internet and saying the right thing at the right moment in the right order will make you lots of money.

In fact one of the businesses that I own on the Internet is a fitness website dedicated to women’s fitness. I actually have a team of women personal trainers… just wanted to tell you that so you didn’t think that I am trying to train women when I am a guy :)

But I am going to share a video we shot recently. It’s the last video in a series of four content videos and it’s designed to get the click through to the sales letter that will also contain a video summarizing the sales letter.

So I hope to get some feedback on this video… It should be ready mid week.

OK, enough jabbering on here on stuff you can’t use. I have been studying copywriting for 8 months or so… and when I say studying I mean really studying. I have been getting a few really cool ebooks that I will share in my resources tab, but these have really helped my copywriting.

Here’s what I believe will save you a lot of trouble in your writing (it doesn’t matter if it’s an email series, sales letter, or anything really).

From Pain To Pleasure On The Biggest Fear or Frustration

Do research and rank the biggest fears, frustrations, and other powerful emotions of your particular market. Then pick the biggest one or two and write your content around those.

Leave out the rest and just concentrate all your persuasive power on those specific emotions.

Sounds like you are opportunities out to convince your audience, but that is far from the truth. Remember this (you’ve heard it before)… a jack of all trades is a master of none. And when you selling you need to master those specific emotions to elicit a purchase.

I’ll talk more about this because I am really getting deeper into “manipulating” – in a good way – the buying decisions of people.

Talk soon…
