Make It A Small Leap For You… So You Can Then Giant Leap Later

by admin on June 28, 2009

I’m learning this the hard way… and maybe it’s because a big part of me is a perfectionist. (Lesson, learn to not be a perfectionist. I’m getting better.)

But if you are going to create your own product, don’t create something HUGE. Start small so you can not only gain confidence, but learn the process.

It’s really tempting to create that product that will become a million dollar website for you. If you did your research right, you know it’s going to work and you know it’ll be worth the work, but you will be surprised that it will take you much much longer to put together.

Rather you could create something really valuable, but also really small to start. It’s very likely you won’t make a million dollars, but let’s say you only make $10,000 over the course of the year.

Would you turn that down? Especially if it only took you a weekend to create the product?

Heck no! I know I wouldn’t and that’s actually what I am reverting back to doing.

Here’s My Hard Learned Lesson

I had some big failures in my Internet business career so far. In fact I still have not found my big winner yet, but that is about to change because a couple years ago I began a HUGE project that is finally finished.

It took me sooooo long to complete because I am building a site in a niche that will prove to be a million dollar winner.

But… I really wish I started with smaller projects because then I would have already amassed some smaller winners that can feed my PPC addiction and addiction to starting other businesses. And that is what I am going to be doing now… creating small mini businesses in different niches and using a mixture of my own product and the vast array of affiliate products to really kill it.

I think you should start smaller… trust me… you’ll be much happier you did.

Oh Yeah… One Last Thing…

CPA Ninja… don’t buy it.

I am sure whoever is going to read this… it will be too late but I had a sneak look at it and it was not worth it. Unless they severelly upgraded it, which I know they didn’t you will be disappointed.

But don’t take my word for it. After all learning from making mistakes is the best way to learn.

P.S. That little CPA Ninja warning is not a reflection on Matt Trainer or Amish Shaw because I do think they kick ass… just wish more was done because the majority of CPA Ninja is about setting up a blog using Wordpress Direct. BORING!
