This is really cool and I had to repost about this.
First off I am loving reading Jonathan Volk’s blog. If you are at all into affiliate marketing of any kind then you need to read it and learn from it.
I should have saved the post that mentioned this but here’s the deal… the slower your page loads, the most traffic you’re going to lose right?
Yeah that’s probably true, but you can save a lot of that traffic by telling them your page is loading. And here’s exactly how you do that. (Just so you know… I am still testing this myself.)
This is pretty cool because you can pick your loading icon, pick your colors, download the gif motion image and put it on your site. And why is this so cool?
Because sometimes a page just takes a little longer to load and this will tell your visitor that the page is coming. If they know it’s coming then they will wait. Most of the time when a page takes a really long time to load, you think it’s broken right?
Well that loading motion icon lets the visitor know that it’s not broken… it’s just coming.
So test this and search around for some others. I will report back in the next few days/weeks how this affects my conversions and my fitness business too!
